The Daily Tip Jar

Like everything else in our world, these days, college tuition is increasing as well. Housing, food, and gas are not making it any easier. The days of going to college with a side job are over. Students need to focus on school but also help with all the debt that is racking up while they study. Holding down a traditional nine-to-five position is not going to be possible. Neither is a job that increases the stress of the student. However, there are options that can relieve some of the financial pressure without adding anything negative.

Driving

Driving can be a relaxing task. If you are not cut out for driving people around, other options exist. Delivering food for a business is one option to look into. This will require being scheduled, which may not work with all school programs. It is constant money when you have set hours. Another option that many are flocking to is places like Uber Eats. Find the one that works best for you and where you are going to school. These allow you to work when you can. During those drives, you can also listen to lectures and get ahead in your classes. In college, any time you can fit in studying, you should.

Campus

Every campus has several jobs that are reserved for students. This is a small way they are trying to help you stay ahead. These positions will be flexible as they know that you have courses that you need to work around. They also understand that each semester could lead to different hours being needed. Working on campus will be convenient when it comes to location. After finishing a class, you can head to work and hit the library right after. No need to waste any gas when you take a job on campus.

Nanny

Being a nanny is maybe not the most appealing job for a college student looking for a good time, but it will pay well. Taking care of children means you will need to have a few skills, but most are easily attained. This is another job that you can work around your already busy workload. Playing with the children may even help release some of the stress in the other areas of your life. Help you to remember that life is supposed to be enjoyable. And if you watch in the evening, you have more study time. Once you get the kids to bed, most parents won’t mind you getting some studying in.

Tutor

Put all those years of education to use and tutor others. This is especially good for those getting close to the end of their program. There are so many students coming back to college that could use some guidance. Tutoring is as flexible as any other campus job. It also helps you keep your skills sharp. If you are teaching, you will not be able to forget all you learned over the courses you have taken.

Find the best job for your situation.
